hola bruje...

our values

blood x bone is an indígena-latine owned kalli + business. As founder, Ixchel commits to tending blood x bone* as a decolonial business centered in indigenous anarchist values-

  • people before profit
  • collectivism + mutual aid
  • celebration + preservation of culture
  • protecting the land + all life, human and more than human.

As a business + community, we stand with the historically marginalized and oppressed. We support the equal rights of all and the movement for liberation + equity on a global scale.

Additionally, our business practices reflect our values of treating people with dignity, accessibility, and creating win-win exchanges. We will not participate in the use of-

  • shame to manipulate
  • business stalking (i.e. retargeting ads)
  • false scarcity
  • agitating pain points
  • the use of misleading/confusing language.

We were inspired by the work of The Ethical Move. Please see their list of manipulative tactics for more info.

While we exist within capitalism, we do not have to wait to create a new way of doing business. Business owners do not have to be capitalists. Commerce existed before capitalism + there is a way to participate in value exchange that is not predicated on exploitation + extraction.
